The week will include the Coastal Powerhouse Conference on 26 March at ABP’s Ocean Terminal in Southampton – a landmark conference bringing together industry leaders, academics, policymakers, and startups to accelerate innovation and decarbonisation across the coastal and maritime economy. Day 2 of the event on 27 March at Ocean Terminal will focus on Maritime Futures: People and Innovation with talks and demonstrations.
This is our opportunity to showcase our world leading maritime cluster – one that is at the forefront of the low carbon economy, with a highly productive business base, vibrant innovation ecosystem, and commitment to ensuring the sector has the future skills it needs for continued success.
The event will feature prominent speakers as well as a panel discussion on port sustainability and seminar sessions on Clean Maritime and Autonomous Maritime. The event will see the launch of the Economic impact report into the Solent’s maritime sector, on-the-water demonstrations of the latest innovations.
One of the key highlights of the Coastal Powerhouse Summit, is ABP’s Energy Ventures Accelerator Innovation Exchange, part of the Energy Ventures Accelerator (EVA) programme, which aims to enable the energy transition by creating clusters of innovative ventures in the UK’s most important industrial hubs.
