This is an online event in partnership with Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada; Portsmouth City Council and Maritime UK Solent.
The event will take place on 4 March 2024 3pm – 5pm (GMT) in the UK, 11am – 1pm (AST) in Canada.
The event will bring together organisations from these major maritime clusters in the UK and Canada to promote and strengthen investment, supply chain and business-to-business development, and encourage collaboration.
Introduction and overview:
– Mike Savage, Mayor of Halifax;
– Councillor Steve Pitt, Leader of Portsmouth City Council;
– Jane Lamer, Head of Economic Development and Skills at Portsmouth City Council and
– Lorna Wagner, Programme Manager at Maritime UK Solent.
We will be hearing from organisations working in marine security – four based in and around Portsmouth: Red Penguin Marine, Subsea Craft, Griffon Hoverwork and Sirius Analysis; and four based in Halifax, Nova Scotia: Deep Vision, Spiri Robotics, Jasco Applied Sciences and eOceans.
This is the first in a series of online events with Maritime UK Solent, Portsmouth City Council and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
