Apprentice of the Year

Jamie, 21, who is doing a mechanical fitting marine engineering apprenticeship said: “It’s a surprise to say the least because I just generally thought I’ve been going about my duties – and now I’ve been recognised. I just think I’ve gone about my duties as an apprentice. It’s been great to talk to the people within the company itself that I don’t normally interact with or that I don’t actually know.”

He now plans to work towards completing an HNC and continue developing within BAE Maritime Systems
