Lead
We provide leadership for the Solent maritime sector by bringing together the breadth of the sector, coordinating cross-sector activity, projecting a collective voice, and providing a direct link to Maritime UK and Government.
We operate within the family of Maritime UK, which is the collective voice for the UK’s maritime industries. As the regional arm of Maritime UK, we can enable the Solent maritime sector to directly influence national maritime sector decision-making and leadership.
We provide a voice for the Solent maritime sector, making connections locally, nationally and internationally which will benefit organisations within the cluster and our region as a whole.
Our activities
April / May 2023
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) project with University of Southampton – We promote and support the development of KTP relationships between academia and Industry to support industry in project management of robotics, autonomous and clean maritime technological developments.
June 2023
We are in a partnership working with the Hampshire Chamber of Commerce to support the evidence base to inform the Solent Local Skills Improvement
Plan to identify and report upon skills gaps in maritime
Ongoing 2023
We deliver a series of networking events to convene, grow and connect the network.
September 2023
We are working with the South Coast Institute of Technology to bring FE Technical/professional
tutors and Industry together in Maritime CPD sessions. Supporting industry to train the trainers of their future workforce.
